Making Moves, Pulling Muscles

Went to kick with erik and manna last week and ended up pulling biceps femoris on a grifter, right at the origin, so it was a bit tender to sit on. Really shoudn't have been doing grifters in my warm up. I had been air shredding them all week, trying out new techniques, so i guess i was a bit over eager. To my credit, it was super deep and clean, and i hit it, even though i pulled a hammy at the apex of the trick. I had been doing near max eccentric hamstring exercises earlier in the week, and had been feeling a bit tight through out, so i imagine that was probably a causal factor. Live and learn. still, it was a tight grifter...
I gave it a bit of a stretch to see how bad it was, and to try to relax the spasm, but with no success. Went home and sat on ice packs for the rest of the night, but sunday it didn't feel to bad, and monday i was pain free. Slowly working on some stretching, and i think i'll lay off the eccentric decels for a while.
In other news, i put in all the needed documents to get my work visa for australia. It was at first a weight off my shoulders, because i had been putting it off and the deadline was drawing nearer, but now i am a ball of excitement and nervousness as i'm realizing this is actually happening. Unfortunately, browsing through the classified sections of Ebay australia looking for surf gear, going over maps and travel brochures to figure out a possible travel plan, and searching for potential jobs and housing opportunities in far distant lands means my studying for finals has been a bit, well... i haven't started. With 6 exams to be written over a period of 5 days beginning monday i should really get on that. like, right now...

Comments:
Best of luck with the exams, muscles, and coming up with a game plan for Australia. Montana misses you
